SpellForce. The Order of Dawn:
Terrible magical cataclysm has turned the once prosperous land into something unsuitable for life. A huge continent was split into many islands. They are connected to each other a complex system of portals built by the last of the great magicians. Another miracle left over from the ancient sages are special obelisks. They allow you to call in this world of powerful warriors who obeyed the owner of the magic crystals within which imprisoned their souls.
Our ward - one of those slaves. Who called him a sorcerer oddly decided not to put pressure on the brain and the poor fellow to negotiate an amicable way. Returning hero soul he not only freed him but did virtually immortal. In return "a goodwill gesture" we have to save the world. Completely equal exchange.
